HOW TO GET TO POREČ?

FROM 

EUROPE MAINLAND, UK or IRELAND

Each participant must arrange his/her own transportation to the venue. Advice on how to get there is provided below.

ACCES TO POREČ: EUROPE, UK AND IRELAND

from EUROPE MAINLAND

  • Flights from Brussels to Pula;
  • International buses from FRance, Germany, Austria etc.

From IRELAND

  • You fly to airports in Northern Italy, and finally take a bus to Porec.
  • If your journey goes through Milan, you take the train to Italy’s northeast (Padova, Mestre, or Trieste).
    You may need to overnight in a hotel, probably in Padova, Mestre or Trieste. Or even enjoy Italy for longer.
  • Ryanair from Dublin:
    – to VENICE-TREVISO (TSF): 4 flights/week (for airport buses, see websites below).
    – to MILAN-BERGAMO (BGY): 2 flights/day.
  • Ryanair from Belfast:
    to MILAN-BERGAMO (BGY): 2 flights/week.c.

From ITALY

  • From Milan to Trieste, there are some direct trains. Normally, you have to change trains in Mestre (“Venezia-Mestre”).
    All trains pass Padova.
  • With a view to catch the CRNJA bus, you might aim to Padova or Mestre for an overnight stay and a nice dinner.
    The train ticket from Milan to Trieste costs around EUR60 full price per Person; early bird tickets come as low as EUR25.

From ITALY

  • From Trieste, several bus lines go to Porec.
    This trip takes about 2 hours and 2 border crossings (Italy-Slovenia-Croatia).
  • From Padova/Padua (Viale della Pace), the Autobus company CRNJA leaves daily at 14:45, with stops in Mestre (15:25) and Trieste (17:45). In Trieste, you change for the Pula bus, to arrive in Porec at 20:00.
  • The price of the regular ticket Padova-Porec is 23EUR.

  • The airport names to VENICE-TREVISO and MILAN-BERGAMO are unofficial names used by low-cost airlines.
  • Their real names are Treviso-Sant’Angelo Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Treviso-Sant’Angelo) and Orio al Serio International Airport (also known as Il Caravaggio International Airport).
  • The currency of Croatia is the Kuna (subdivided into 100 Lipa), the international currency code is HRK. One Euro (€) buys circa 7,5HRK. One GBP is circa 8.8HRK.
  • Italy and Slovenia are EURO countries.
